Questions to Ask the Photographer
 

1. How far will you travel to a wedding before charging a travel fee?

2. Are you the only photographer in the company? If I hire you, do you guarantee that you will be available on my wedding date and be the one taking the photos that day?

3. Are the photo samples I see, your work or a combination of all your staff?

4. Do you work with an assistant?

5. Do you have wedding albums on-line of completed weddings I can view?

6. Do you offer traditional wedding photographer with prints? If so, what size are the prints? Do you offer Photojournalism? Do you offer both options?

7. Are the photos available in color and B&W? Are there additional fees for B&W photos?

8. If your photo packages are not what I am looking for, are you willing to customize a photo package that is within my budget?

9. How long is your coverage? Are you willing to come early to take photos of us (wedding couple) getting ready? Are we able to take some pre-wedding photos with our wedding party?

10. Do you charge a fee if the wedding and reception re in more than one location? If so, what is the fee per location site we visit?

11. Do you offer a CD or DVD of all my images? If so, is this included in the package or is this an extra fee?

12. Do you offer hand coloring or digital coloring for B&W photos or digital color separation? If so, are these services included in your packages or do you charge a fee for these?

13. How many and what kind of cameras do you use? Do you use film or digital cameras or a combination of both? How are you prepared in case a camera malfunctions?
